消防科学是一门 老年人只 program and is only offered during the A.M.

The 火灾科学/EMS 技术 program introduces students to a career as a full-time or

Firefighter I and II covers a variety of topics, including fire protection characteristics, 火行为, 类型
建筑结构 & the impact of fire on buildings, extinguishing agents used, water supply, fire
streams, ground ladders, forcible entry, auto extrication, community risk reduction, and hazardous

学生 will be eligible to take the Firefighter I and II State Certification Practical and Written (online)
Exams after successful completion of this course and Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations.
This will certify an Individual to the NFPA 1001-2019 Firefighter Professional Qualifications Standard.
There are 4 state certifications that the student is eligible to become certified in – Firefighter 1,
Firefighter 2, Hazardous Materials Awareness & Hazardous Materials Operations. 这个学生必须通过
all 4 to be able to obtain their certificates.

State Certification for Fire Fighter I and II is administered through the Missouri Division of Fire Safety at
predetermined sites throughout Missouri. Applicants must be 18 years of age and have successfully
completed the required coursework. If applicants are not 18 years of age or miss the initial scheduled
testing, they will have one year from the completion of the course to take the tests.
First-Aid/CPR will also be provided during the Firefighter 1&2课程. The students will become certified

IFSTA Essentials消防员&2 Manual (currently using the 7th edition) – This book will be provided to
the student; however, the book must be kept in good shape, and cannot be written in, highlighted, or
